And the fairer sex gets its time as well..
I have long been and remain a champion of women. I love them all and find them to be the best thing in the world next to a nice mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich where the mutton is nice and lean and the lettuce is crispy..Mmmm..
So now, after that small almost-disclaimer, I vent.
Are you all insane??? Are all women genetically mentally and emotionall unhinged in such a way that causes men undue stress and pain? Is it too much to ask to find a women that is stable, with or without the use of illicit or over the counter pharmaceuticals? You know, I am the very first person to admit I rush into things. Why? Because I always have and upon recent trials of taking things slow with the same results, I don't see changing my ways as mattering a whit in the long run. I've gained a lot of patience over the last few years, but to what end? Move too fast and you wind up not knowing the woman enough to find out she'll go insane in four weeks due ot previous commitment issues or self esteem problems..or I go slow and watch the gently move away like flotsom in the ocean, no matter how I try to follow the pseudo rules for these things.
Surely there are stable, funny, intelligent women out there without intimacy and relationship issues? Who don't automatically prioritize their friends above their partner whenever it gets convenient to do so? Why tell someone you love them then just disappear for weeks on end and not call or email or anything? Isn't that the cliche thing for MEN to do? Now women are as well? Or maybe its just that most of those lately have been too young and immature...*shrugs* I'm just sick of it...
So in the tradition of
dawnmuskovitz. Here is my shorter and incompletel list of what I want from any future female partners:
1. Mentally stable and I may require a psychiatric evaluation within the first three weeks if you start showing any of the signs of paranoia, antisocial behavior, delusion, watching too much Lifetime.
2. If number 2 can not be net due to past experiences or random chemical imbalances. Take your medication on time and properly...so you can be more mentally stable.
3. If you have friends, I am happy for you. I don't want to, or have to, meet them...but don't tell me you love me then erase me from the priority list.
4.She must love the Geekness that is me. That means tolerate video games and movies and quoting obscure movie lines out of no where. Reading graphic novels and scifi and fantasy. Not turn her nose up when I mention D&D.
5. She must tolerate my pagan views and preferably follow a path herself, but that is only a dream, not a requirement:)
6. Healthy sense of humour and a flirtatious nature.
7. Polyamorous or understanding that I am and acceptance of that fact.
8. No strange sexual hangups that are not discussed from the onset. None of this waiting months to mention your need to wear blue socks and a Burger King crown to achieve orgasm..just tell me up front.
9. Ability to enjoy romance and not just say she likes it...
10. A desire to be cherished and loved..and the ability to recieve the same.
Oh, there's more...and I'll make that a new post later...but it's a start...haven't even found that much in one person yet...
