So I'm doing a bit of research for the silly walk. Looking at what others may be doing for the challenge. Trying to get a feel for the intent and wondering how much to challenge myself.

Thoughts:
Trying to decide if I want to do human, animal, creature from myth, or a monster from my mind...... I considered doing a "cat with tape" sort of walk cycle as that is kind of silly looking. But I wasn't sure if that really fit the theme.
I went looking to see what some others may have posted so far to see which direction they were going in, and found a beginner self-taught animator who out classed me by and far. The saying goes "draw every day to get better" and I've been doing anything but animating lately.
Which brings to mind, a thought - which category do I enter into? Beginner or Open? Most of my professional, paid work has been in the Grpahic Design and Web Design fields and most of my portfolio is full of that sort of stuff. I have a degree in Animation, but I have very little from college anymore to show for it. It's not an easy choice.
(One of the reasons I'm doing this is to motivate me to create more work for my portfolios)
