PWND
The other night I was at Pizza King with my brother and his family. My niece (Katie age 5, going 6 on the 23rd) was telling me how she and my brother had beaten Ganondorf in Twilight Princess and ‘even killed him’.
To which I’m like ‘You’re always killing Ganondorf. You kill him in the first one, keep him dead in the second one, kill him again in the 3rd one for the first time… you kill him in Wind Waker… you kill him in Ocarina-’.
Right there she cuts me off ‘You don’t kill him in Ocarina… you seal him behind the portal’.
I falter for a second as I struggle with my own memory (which is filled up with comic book info and ideas about drawing boobs) and I’m left stumped. Did I just get out geeked? I don’t know…
Later at work I see a friend of mine, who is all knowing when it comes to the Legend of Zelda series. So I ask him, at which point he quotes the final lines Ganondorf utters… before being locked away behind the portal…
And then I knew it… I got pwned by my niece when it comes to be geeky…
Way to go Katie! I knew I loved you for a reason!
