Remind me to take my time off earlier this month next year - I'm so bored.

This is my train, known locally as the "Akaden" - short for aka and densha, red and train. Japanese people are very literal, haha. The real name for the line is something I can never ever remember. (EDIT: oh, it's Enshu Railway Line...) This train takes 30-35 minutes to get from my station at the end of the line, to the terminus in Hamamatsu city. Which is where this photo was taken. That train is on the wrong side of the tracks, just chillin'. My train comes in from the left on the near track.

And these are just bath salts I bought the other day. My apartment smelled like delicious fruit salad for a day or two afterwards - delightful! I bought it because I liked the packaging haha. When you're basically illiterate you develop other ways of choosing products for your life other than instructions, descriptions, and ingredients lists. Does it look pretty? Does it smell nice? Does it have helpful pictures on the back that will allow you to make an educated guess as to it's purpose and use? In this case, I can read the packaging. Yay. Kanji still eludes me, but then again, I haven't been trying. Terrible photograph is terrible!
