I've had a good few days off, but now it's back to work and joy of joys I've got a couple of night shifts! Great back to the land of zombiehood where the brain turns to mush, and just for the fun of it I've then got a day shift and a study day before another night shift and then straight on to an early shift! Well after yesterdays grumpfest, today has been a good day. I got to see all of my allocated patients spend some quality, productive time with them, and hardly have any paperwork to do! Simple but, it's good not to be flailing around, bouncing from one crisis to another.

Should anyone ever have the misfortune to be admitted to hospital, please be aware that a "nursing minute" is somewhere between sixty seconds and the remainder of the shift, apologies!

Sometimes I wonder why I do this job, and then.....

I work on a psychiatric ward so part of this could be triggery for some. So please be warned!
