Okay, so I've got a big old Eliot Spencer crush. I know this. I'll own up to it. I adore his entire attitude and I love how Christian Kane plays him and I even squealed over how his hair curled after he'd been tossed into the water. I felt ridiculous but I totally did it. I can't even deny it. Regardless of my feelings about the rest of the show, I've fallen that hard.
So. The next question is obviously who to pair him with, right? It's obvious that the writers are angling for Nate/Sophie and Hardison/Parker (they're as subtle as an anvil). I've got to admit, I do kind of like the OT3 of Hardison/Parker/Eliot. They really kind of compliment each other--Eliot and Hardison with their grudging friendship even if they don't quite understand where each other is coming from, Parker and Hardison with their awkward puppy love crushes in denial and Eliot and Parker with an annoyed resignation (love that). It's nice, it's wonderful, and, if I just want some m/m there's always Hardison/Eliot (which is nice in it's own right--I love the somewhat awkward/desperate buddy-buddy vibe they got going on).
What kills me dead, though? Is the Nate/Eliot. Holy fuck, the Nate/Eliot. Tonight's episode, ending with Eliot staring across the bar at Nate and then giving him that little smile and a nod? Rawr, baby. I love the respect that Eliot has for Nate and how I could see him willingly bottoming (as opposed to Hardison where I'd see him fighting a bit (got a bit of thing for bottom!Eliot, 'kay?)).
Only problem is, they're both so jaded. Then again...that's kind of delicious in its own right, isn't it? I see them more as a kind of fuck-buddy situation.
...Leverage. The pairings confound me. ;_; So many choices, so many strings, so many different directions! *cries*
