What Now???
Just when I thought Gabriel was finally out of the labyrinth of illnesses that's plagued him for the past month, this evening he felt warm. When I took his temp, sure enough, he had a fever. Otherwise he seemed fine - we had two moms and babies over today for an impromptu playdate because of the crappy weather, and he was his usual self all day. So I gave him some Motrin, and an hour later his fever was gone.
But now the same inflammation in my back that required a cortisone shot directly into my spine to fix is back. It really, really hurts today. I mean, like, I can barely sit here and type this, hurts. I'm hoping a bottle of Chianti and some Motrin will fix it.
It's always freaking something around here these days. If Gabriel's not contagious then the weather is too rainy and cold to take him to a playground. And if it's not Carlos and his impacted wisdom tooth, it's my back, again. When are all the Lopezes in this household going to all be 100% healthy and intact at the same time the weather's nice???
