So yesterday John and I started P90X. It’s an extensive full body 90 day work out program with enough structure and literally exercise every day that I’m hoping we can stick with it for the required 3 months.
The first day was Arms & Shoulders as well as Ab Ripper X. and today my arms are killing me, every movement hurts but at the same time it feels good to know that we worked that hard. I was a little disappointed in myself over all, I did the pushups on my knees and with bad form and the pull ups with the easiest band I have, the red one. So I’ve diced that next Monday and with the following work outs I will do as they advised and not worry about numbers and concentrate on form. Also I will move up to the higher band and see how that feels next time round. I also need heavier weights but that will probably have to wait a pay check or too.
As for diet we are basing ours a little off of the one offered by the program but not following it exactly. We bought protein bars and more fruit for snack-age and we are trying to eat healthier though we will see how long that lasts. I kind of ruined it the first night after eating carrots and dip, chips and salsa and chips and dip for dinner… but we will see in the following days.
I’ll post my measurements and weights when I get home if I remember but do to pure embarrassment I won’t be posting my before pictures until I am satisfied with my after pictures.
