I just received a phone call from my father. His wife died this afternoon :( She had a massive heart attack while she was driving home from work. She was only five years older than me…
My father is still at the hospital right now. I don’t think he’s ready to leave her yet, and he’s terribly upset that he didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. Of course, the fact that he’s much older than her and he has health problems… Well, he expected to go first, so this is a huge shock to him.
I feel for my step-brother. It's his 21st birthday on Saturday. I couldn't talk to him tonight, but I'm going to give him a call tomorrow and see if there's anything I can do.
