I feel much better tonight!
I’m only waiting for hubby’s input with the maintenance schedules (I’m planning to tie him up on Sunday and make him do it) and I’m ready for audit! All the filing is done and the financials are totally up to date!
I also spent three hours this afternoon catching up with my friend who moved up north last year. She was down to visit family and popped in. We had a lovely time catching up with each other and drinking coffee. We email each other, but it's just not the same.
The first week of school is behind us and everyone has survived, and they’re all still happy!
Tomorrow I have football registration. While I’d really love a few more weeks off, I am looking forward to catching up with everyone :)
It was a little cool last night, and as I was extremely tired, I was really looking forward to snuggling up in bed. I was just about drifting off when hubby decided that he wanted to do a different kind of snuggling *sigh* If I’d been more awake… Anyway, I fell asleep eventually - it’s a bit hard when hubby’s snoring loud enough to shake the windows - only to be rudely awoken at 2:30am by a very lost looking hubby standing beside my side of the bed. He was holding the doona, shaking my shoulder and…
Hubby: *whiny voice* Move over.
Me: What’s wrong with your side of the bed?
Hubby: *looks totally lost*
He did wander back to his side of the bed and began snoring before his head even made contact with the pillow. Of course, by this time I was wide-awake!
You’d have thought with the girls at school and hubby at work it would have been nice and peaceful in my house today, but you’d have been wrong!
Hubby told Mitch to clear everything covering the ground on the side of the house (he wants to make it pretty and put a bench in there, so I have somewhere nice to read), so Mitch got up at 8:30am, had breakfast and started work. That’s when the trouble started. The dog (Monty) had been sound asleep in his bed until that point, but when he heard Mitch outside he decided to investigate…
Mitch: Go away! Monty, get out of here before you get hurt! Go! MUM, CAN YOU TELL MONTY TO PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE?
I did wander out only to find Mitch standing around the side looking totally peeved with Monty’s tennis ball sitting on his boot and Monty dancing in front of him staring fixatedly at the ball *giggles*
Monty eventually listened to reason and came inside with me, but only for a few minutes. The whole scene repeated itself several times during the day. To be fair, Mitch was only concerned about the dog’s wellbeing, because he was working with a heavy steel rake and Monty doesn’t always focus on what’s going on around him when he’s intent on playing ball with someone.
It's very cool tonight *g* I'm so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning (registration is in the afternoon) and waking up comfortably. We have been warned though - it's starting to heat up again and we'll hit 40+ by mid next week.
