I need a drink!

We got up this morning and as soon as Maddy was safely at school we took my car to the local Ford dealership, so the warranty work could be done. Then Hubby took me to the dentist.

Luckily, he just did a full examination and discussed a treatment plan today (no pain!). However, I do need some work done… $1400 worth of work done! My next appointment is mid-October, and then I’ll actually be having a couple of fillings, a few fissure seals and one of my wisdom teeth out *ouch* The wisdom tooth in question is fine at the moment, but it’s so far back that no toothbrush would ever get to it, no matter how diligently you brush (which I do and I try to make sure I’ve got that tooth). Anyway, he wants to remove it, so it won’t give me any trouble down the track.

Hubby picked me up when I was finished and we wandered home, so we could check who offered discount eye care through the union. They’re in the city, so we just went to our local optometrist and made an appointment for me (I’ve been struggling for a while). Then we went shopping for some new work clothes for hubby and came home.

We’d been home just two minutes when the phone rang: my car was ready to be picked up. Off we went again! They fixed everything and more :)

When we got home I had about an hour until I had to pick up Maddy, so… well… we haven’t seen a lot of each other lately, and we decided to get umm… reacquainted. Mitch &*@#$%! got home from school about a half hour earlier than usual *curses* Talk about bad timing!

I picked Maddy up and went straight back to the optometrist’s office for my appointment. The eye examination was free, not that it mattered, because I need glasses and they cost $485. I got two pairs, but only because the second frames were free (and I got a really good deal there - the free frames I picked retail for $499). Anyway, I should be able to pick them up next week *sigh*

Maddy and I raced home, because it’s parent night at school and the choir were singing at the opening of a special recreation area in the school. She couldn’t find her choir shirt! We ended up not going at all, because she was in tears (still with no choir shirt) and I’d simply had enough. I’ve never missed parent night before, and neither of my girls have ever missed a choir performance (let alone lost their shirt). I tore her room apart and found all sorts of things (moldy sandwiches in her underwear drawer was particularly charming), but no shirt.

I’m so tired that an early night is definitely a must!
