Australia Day!

Wow I must have needed some sleep desperately!  I’d promised my girls that we’d watch the Heath Ledger Tribute together (some really nice commentary followed by A Knight’s Tale and The Patriot) last night.  Well, I struggled to make it through A Knight’s Tale and failed completely with The Patriot.  I guess I really shouldn’t watch tv while lying ( Read more... )

I am so proud of you! Most people would have jumped at that. You are like me, shop for the best at the best price...lol! My car hunting experiance will start in one week. I am excited, but scared. I have never bought a car before. the first car that I had my mom asked me what I was looking for in a car and I told her at the time I wanted one like my sisters a Chevy Lumina...so she found one that she could afford. I was 15 and tickeled pink. After that my husband brought them home and i have drove them I never really had the option. Don't get me wrong he asked if I liked them and I said yes or no, but it was just out of being nice..lol! This is the first time that I will have to make the decision my self. Well, good luck on getting the air conditioner. I hate buying big things..lol! :D

I have to shop for the best price :) It just goes against my grain to simply buy something for the sake of it.

I won't actually get to choose my car, because hubby's a mechanic turned truck driver, so my opinion only extends as far as 'that's a pretty color' *wink*

The air conditioner will be easy. We know what we want, so it's just a matter of arranging it *g*

LOL! Well, hats off to you. I have a freind that has been a mechanic all his life and he is 40 or 41 anyway I was talking to him the other night and I had to laugh at his advice. My mother has a 1985 dodge diplomat that she is going to be getting fixed in a few days right, ok so follow me here. When I asked my friend what was best for me he tells me...
D- Go and find you a 70 or 80 model pick up
Me- I have 2 kids one still in a booster seat.
D- let them ride in your moms car
M- I have places I have to go to, plus I have a friend with 2 small kids one in a carrier and one in a car seat
D- well, just deal with it, she needs to get her own car.

That was about as much as I could take before I literally started banging my head on the table top! I am at a my wits end with that man...lol his wife laughed at me she thought it was quiet amusing..lol!

I wish I could just go oh love that color...lol! ;)

I swear mechanics and their opinions of cars are impossible, which is why I have no 'real' say in what I end up with :/ They look at the car for performance, but seem to forget that the car is there to do a job and if it's not suited to that job too bad. Hubby would really like me to get another Toyota Corolla (I have one now), but while they're great little cars (I've never had a days trouble in 12 years with mine) they're way too small for the family now that two of the kids have longer legs than me :/ If I went with the smaller car I could have a brand new one too, but it just isn't big enough.

lol...my sister has a small 4 door ford and it is so funny to watch my nephew get into it....he is 6'4" and it is mostly legs. But, they live about 30 minutes from town so she needs a small car that does better on gas. Well, me and my mom are going to go LOOK at cars Wed. so that I have an idea of what I want to get. Good Luck at getting somthing that you and your hubby both will like..lol! ;)

That's like watching my 6'4" hubby fold himself into my little car *giggles* Small cars are great for fuel economy and zipping around town, but my kids are just too big now for a small car to be comfortable.

LOL My sister lives in Panama City, Florida and it is a busy town. I was just talking to her and we were talking about me getting a new car and I told her that i was going to have to get something bigger just so that I could carry steven around with me when i move down there. He is still in Jr. High so you can just imagin how tall that boy is going to be.

Well, I bet he is a sight to behold when entering your car... *giggles with you*! But I will be looking tomorrow and I am praying that I will find something with out the headache! :)

Will keep u up to date..lol!
