How her insane mind works.
So first and foremost: Yellow is totally batshit insane. There is a reason I call her psycho Yellow because there are times where she really is totally just batshit crazy. More than that, her personality is...disjointed into several parts.
One part that is most common in her world, though less here, is her more disinterested personality. When Yellow encounters someone who is not 'worthy' of being spared, she ignored them. They're basically less than dirt in her mind and while she can hear them and all that, she may not give them even the least amount of attention. Of course, on Awesome Island, there's a bunch of Pokedex holder and Gym Leaders who are automatically given a benefit of a doubt.
Then there's her more 'neutral' personality she has the most of the time on Awesome Island because of all those 'worthy' people. Basically she's the same as most any Yellow. She's kind and thoughtful. She hates conflict. And she can be a bit of a derp and flustered. The only real difference is she's less naive and more mature due to age and life experiences. She is also more willing to question when something seems off and will pay more attention to things to make sure she's not getting into something bad.
Then there's Creeper Cultist Yellow. Where she's....basically creeper cultist. Where she's happy with what she has planned, wanting a better world for Pokemon and those worthy humans. This side is definitely less derp and really brings out the more maternal side of her. If...maternal in a psycho sense since she'd talk about the genocide like it's nothing and their new world so fondly.
Next is her fighter, mission personality. This is a more cold personality, that runs on getting the job DONE. Since Yellow naturally does not like violence or conflict, to deal with her goals, this personality first formed. Basically it's the tactician that Yellow has shown herself to be, in how she manipulates battles, but with the willingness to make that damage. She is ruthless in battle, more than willing to throw more power than she needs just to guarantee she will win. She also cheats. She's trying to commit genocide, keeping everything one on one isn't her goal.
Then there's a final part, that's a combination of the creeper cultist and fighter that formed when she first attacked a city. Whatever last shed of sanity she really had snapped and this would basically be Psychotic Yellow. She'll taunt and tease her opponent, grinning and smiling creepily all the while she's fighting them. Though she'll often switch between this and being cold, being rather erratic in her personality, but her mind will be clear. She will know exactly what she's doing, even if others might not.
In all levels of her personality, Yellow believes in protecting the 'innocent.' Especially those who become close to her. NOTHING will keep her from protecting them, except for perhaps another person of that level, which throws her into total confusion and may make her just withdraw into herself like when she first started to lose her mind. Other than that glitch though, Yellow is basically a mama bear and will be very unwilling to give any human a chance, though Pokemon might, depending on the situation. Though almost nothing will stop her from pursuing her goals, especially when it comes to avenging her friends.
It should also be noted how her Pokemon are. They are loyal to Yellow and they will follow her, but they're not...happy with it. Chuchu is the closest for going along with it because she lost Pika in the explosion, and Gravvy and Omny are least reluctant. They mostly just follow Yellow's orders, but will fall into a more disarray if she's not there to give orders since just listening to them is how they coped with everything. Though Yellow recognizes this and this is why she plans to never have her Pokemon kill someone. Hurt and disable them, but never kill themselves.
Yellow believes she is a necessary sacrifice to do what needs to be done. She never wants those 'innocents' to be the ones that have to kill.
