The Mysterious Kingdom

Once upon a time the was a beautiful princess.
Who lived in a fairly mysterious kingdom. Where
myths and legends were as real as you or me. In
this era the king ruled with kindness and he ruled
justly. His wife the queen was as beautiful as the
sunset before the night stars. Julia was the princess
best friend, but she was jealous of Princess Keita for
every man in all the kingdom would stop turn and gaze
upon her wondrous beauty. But they would never turn
and look at Julia the way they did at the princess. No
matter how hard Julia tried to make herself more beautiful
no one even raised eye to notice. The princess's favorite
thing to do was horse back riding. They would ride everyday
around noon. One midsummer day while riding they stopped
in a near by clearing to eat lunch. Julia lowered her head and
looked away. Keita looked at Julia and asked, "What’s wrong
Julia?" Julia replied," Nothing malady." Keita glanced at Julia
and asked, "Why so formal we've been friends since we babies?"
Julia replied, "True we've been friends since we were in diapers,
but its just I feel so awkward around you." Keita looked up at
her, and asked, "Why?" Julia replied with a sigh, "Guys always turn
to stare at you but never at me and I envy that." Keita whispered,
" Soon you wont have to worry for I'll be gone." Julia’s eyes widen
in shock, and asked, "What do you mean by that?" Keita replied,
"I'm running away, to go off and explore to camp under the stars
I'll be free." Julia sighed. Keita smiled and started to clean up.
Once she was finished her and Julia climbed onto their
horses. Keita urged her mare forward setting a fast pace, and
she yelled back, "Race you back to the castle Julia." Naturally
Keita won. As soon as Julia got there Keita had already removed
the reins and saddle and was gently brushing her mare. Julia
grunted and said, " No fair you got a major head start." Julia climbed
off her horse and then removed the saddle and reins. Julia brushed her
horse then her stead to the makeshift stable where she would feed her
steed fresh hay. Keita waited then to her mare to the makeshift stable.
Later when the sunset and stars came out and shown with brilliance
Keita was busily at work tying sheets together. Once she was done
she tied one end to her bed post and dropped the other out the window."
Before she climbed down the rope of sheets she wrote a note to her parents,
say, "I'm off in search of adventure and to be free." She then climbed down
the rope made of sheets once she reached the end she noticed there was a 12 foot
drop and if she didn’t land right she would either get her or notify the guards of her
temp of running away. She dropped and landed gracefully if not to say she stayed
on her feet long. She got up and covertly snuck over to get her armor then she made
her way to the makeshift stable where she got her mare and saddled her and places
the reins on quietly. She traveled for three days eating berries and rabbit and drinking
water, she barley slept in fear her father's guard might captor her in her sleep. On the
forth day she stopped near a stream for water and to wash, when she heard a scream,
she slowly edged toward the scream she unknowingly fingered her sword ready to
battle whatever awaited her. She saw her mother captured be the fierce and loathed
black knight. He was tying Queen Onyah to a tree using a ripped piece of her dress.
The queen scream and cried and begged for mercy her dress dropped a little almost
revealing her tender chest. Keita drew her sword and said in a masculine voice,
"You dare kidnap the Queen and defile her?" The black knight laugh and replied,
"Go run along and play child this does not concern you." Keita lunged and attacked
the black knight. They fought for hours blood flying here and there the swords rang
like bells in bitter sweet agony. Finally Keita won she stood on top of the black knight
and put her sword away and smiled at his now lifeless body. Then she walked over and
untied the Queen's restraints. The queen hugged Keita unknowingly and thanked her.
Queen Onyah asked for the brave knights name that saved her. The knight refused and
just simply said, "You must return home malady, and I must be on my way." The knight
then turned and walked away. No one ever knew who the mysterious knight was or
where Keita was or if she ever found what she was looking for.
