Up ridiculously early.
I don't need to be awake this early (rolled out of bed at 5 am) but my friend is currently going through the Panama Canal, just now pulling into the Miraflores locks. Last year when I did the same, although our cruise went in the opposite direction taking off from Ft Lauderdale, she watched the ship via the webcam the canal has in place. I wanted to do the same. :)
I know I'll have vague regrets around three this afternoon as my eyelids start drooping while I sit at my desk but it is kind of fun. Kind of not at the same time. Bittersweet I suppose. Still, it was an amazing trip when I did it and I can imagine she's enjoying it too.
