Wow- it's been awhile.

It has been ages since I've updated here, because I'm kind of neurotic. I haven't had time to complete a big update, and haven't wanted to make little entries without catching people up, so I haven't made any entries at all. So I'll just summarize to catch y'all up, then hopefully keep up to date.

Austin is 10 now, and has that delightful pre-adolescent attitude to go with it. While we've had some fun this summer, I must admit I can't wait for him to go back to school. He'll be in fifth grade next month- top of the heap at the elementary school.
Nate is a busy little person, hard at work figuring everything out. He talks about a lot of stuff, some of which we understand. My little baby has turned into such a big boy.
We had to have our kitty, Gambit, put to sleep last month, as he was very ill. We all miss him a lot, especially Oliver. We're going to get another critter eventually, but we're not sure what or when.
We went to lake last month for our summer vacation, and it was great. We were there for a week and a half, and it wasn't nearly long enough.
The Big Yak finally reached the end of its life with us, at a tender 16 years old. Oddly enough, it died on Friday the 13th- so much for getting over my superstitions. It has since been replaced with a 2007 Kia Sportage, and I am a happy camper. It gets great gas mileage, and it's very clean, and I can adjust the fan speed on the AC all I want. It is the newest car I have ever driven, and likely the newest car I will ever drive, and I'm okay with that.
I sold a bunch of baby carriers in June, and used the money to upgrade my camera to a Nikon D40. I've been participating in a weekly photo challenge online, and it's been fun stretching my creativity a bit.
