Part 6 - The Situation
The Hotel was quiet. A few lights were on, but not a sound could be heard. Which is how they wanted it. They had specific orders: to return with Kyi, dead or alive. This mission was to be covert, and there were to be no witnesses to the deed. That is why blight family and Karcuru were chosen. They specialized in this sort of thing.
Blight was a shape shifter. He is capable of maintaining any sort of form that is needed for this mission. Taking the guise of Yugi Mutou, he entered the front enterance.
Karcuru was a different story. With a beak-like nose and giant wings attached to his arms, Karcuru is one of the only users at GameFAQs who can fly. A master at stealth missions, Karcuru had adapted to soundless flight. Getting on the roof of the hotel was easy work, and he stood pearched, ready for Blight’s signal.
“Karcuru, according to the records on the front desk, Kyi should be on the 14th floor. We will meet at the rendezvous place once your acquired him” said Blight into his walkie.
Karcuru stretched out his wings and dove off of the roof. He crashed into the 14th floor, and launched a net into the room. A second pasted before Karcuru realized that the room was empty.
“Blight, I thought you said he was on the 14th floor” said Karcuru.
“He is, according to the records” stated Blight.
“Well, no one is here…” said Karcuru
“We had inside sources that he is here. Did the moron lie to me?” asked Blight
Meanwhile…
“Listen guys, I need to meet up with someone. Can you pass on Seto’s message for me?” asked Donnie.
“Yeah, sure Donnie. See you soon” said Devil Wolf.
And with that Donnie departed.
“Ok, so we need to find lordofring, nudojudo, elementalblazer, and PaddingtonBear, right?” asked GXion.
“Yeah, that’s right. Lets hope they are on PotD right now” said Devil Wolf.
“Actually, you won’t live long enough to talk to them” said a voice.
The two of them looked up and saw a man wearing green robes. He had long, purple hair, and held a giant hammer.
“My name is Wise, the Pit Fighter. I got that title from winning a PvP tournament. I am the strong arm of the Cynical Zealots. My orders are to destroy both of you. Now…prepare yourself!”
Meanwhile…
“So, where are we now?” asked Kyi.
“Welcome to the nation of Ikari” said Seto. “Long ago this was a fruitful nation, hidden from much of GameFAQs. Its leader was Sun Tzu, and he was a mighty warrior and master tactician.”
“But…this place looks abandoned” said Kyi.
“Yeah. It seems that time took its toll, and that people moved elsewhere. It is a shame, because this place meant a lot to me. But it will be good enough for a hiding place for now. But we can’t stay here long Kyi, or else the moderators might catch up with that” said Seto.
“The moderators are the least of your worries now” said a voice.
Kiaba and Kyi turned around to see a man wearing armor. He had long, black hair and a scar across his face, and held a giant spear.
“You…” whispered Kyi.
“Who are you?” asked Seto.
“Who I am does not matter” said the man. “What matters is the danger that awaits you in the near future”.
The man raised his spear and lunged at Seto. The spear pierced her side, and she gasped out in pain, and dropped her staff.
“I’m sorry darling, but I must take Kyi with me” said the man. He waved his hand, and Kyi suddenly disappeared.
“I suggest you do not follow anymore, if you value your account. It is for the best for everyone”
And with that, Seto passed out.
