Part 3 - The Discover
“Why the hell are we running?” yelled Yugi.
“Are you kidding me? That was Math Murder. He could destroy us so easily,” said Kiaba.
“Yeah, but it’s not like we did anything wrong here,” state Yugi.
“You know my history with the mods. Better keep a low profile…”
Meanwhile…
Seto and Yugi still hadn’t returned yet. Most of the other residents of the board were gone, leaving Kyi alone. He was getting a little restless.
Man, I hope GameFAQs is normally not like this. This is kind of boring…
Kyi’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a brightly flash off in the distance. Having nothing else to really do, he rushed off to it. A few minutes later, he was at an unusual clearing. It seemed as if the ground around him was dead. The air was still. The place seemed very uneasy. Lying on the ground in front of him was a single, plain-looking ring. Without even thinking, Kyi picked up the ring and placed in on his finger.
“Excuse me son, but I believe you have my ring” said a voice behind him.
Kyi spun around to see a man who was wearing all black. He even had a black hood over his face. The only part of his body that was exposed was his right hand, which looked like that of a skeleton. In it rested a giant, hard-cover book. He advanced towards Kyi.
“You have three seconds to give me that ring” said the man, as dark energy started to form around him.
“Actually, he won’t be giving you that ring” said another man, who seemed to appear behind the first man. He wore a full set of armor from his neck down, a red cape, and he held a giant spear in his right hand. He had green eyes and long, black hair. A scar ran down the left side of his face.
“You…” snarled the first man.
“That’s right, me. If you know what’s good for you, you will turn around and leave this man alone” said the second.
The first man stood there for a second, and then disappeared with a flash of light.
“Are you ok Kyi?” asked the man.
“I am fine, I guess. Who was that?” asked Kyi.
“Just a man who is full of delusions. Now do me a favor Kyi; tell no one that you were here, and tell no one about that ring. Keep it safe”
And with that, he was gone.
“Hey Kyi, are you ok?’ yelled out a voice. It was Seto, and she was running forward towards him followed by Yugi.
“No one from that group attacked you, did they?” asked Yugi.
“What group?” exclaimed Kyi.
Yugi and Seto shared a quick glance at each other. “Lets head back to my place” said Seto. “We will fill you in on what happened. Plus, we don’t want to stay here that long…”
Neither do I. thought Kyi.
