The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one.
Last night, as expected, I got on Warcraft for the first time in months. I totally forgot how much fun it is. On the other hand, what's up with the new level cap for mounts? when the hell did this happen? I remember watching the level 40's ride past me on their badass mounts while I was hoofing it across the barrens and saying, "one day, man, one day." Now you can get a mount at level 30! No one told me this! Not only that, but lvl. 30 mounts with training only runs you about 40 gold. So yeah, I finally got me that dire wolf mount I always wanted, but you know what Blizzard? I was working my ass off for my level 40 mount, saving every last copper piece so I could afford that 100 gold price tag, so I think you owe me some bells and whistles. I want my wolf to breathe fire. Or have laser eye beams. Make it so.
I spent most of my night farming ore and raising my skills to a respectable level (they had been neglected for so long). Oh, and my old guild welcomed me back with open arms. Granted, I know most of them in real life, but they were ridiculously happy to see me. Tonight I think I'll finish this crap-ton of quests I have in my log, and try and ding 40. Of course, inevitably the same thing will happen with Wrath of the Lich King as with Burning Crusade: as soon as I get high enough to raid with everybody, the expansion will raise the level cap and everybody will move to the level 80 dungeons. Oh well. Its still good to be back.
