I guess it's a better experience than when Mr. Dodds would stand over you, harshly critiquing your work and to top it off he was old and unattractive. But anyway I've never seen your work I don't think, but you're creative. I think you're just being insecure and you should get over you modesty, because if you can't share your work with others what's the point right? Well there is a point but it's nice to be able to share your work. But if you REALLY think it's a bad idea then I wouldn't do it.
It could be worse, like my German GA who is so OBVIOUSLY gay for me that my grades are turning out higher than the should be. Dude is totally not attractive, but shit...if it keeps me above a 3.0 I'll keep smiling purty.
i would love to see what your working on. I am in agreement with you about the whole self portrait thing, every drawing course I took at OCC always ended up haveing to do a self portrait, and I dreded it, but i did, after a long while and alot of work, get use to my face(never thought I would) then I found myself turning to self portraits again in photograhpy living alone with no friedns to photograph left me with no other option really, and now I'm using them in my encaustic painting, my face is now becoming a major part of my art, who would of thought. and wow oil paint uh? I love oils, man I would love to see your stuff.
