This last month has been pretty busy. Just thought I'd post so that y'all know I'm still kicking.
I got the job at Michaels. I'm really enjoying working there, but I still haven't been trained on a lot of things. All of my coworkers are nice and it's a great environment. When I first started there were five of us in the framing department, two full-timers and three (including me) part-timers. Two weeks ago, while the head of the framing department was out of state on vacation, one of the part-timers (whom I only met once, briefly, but I'm sad to admit that she really fit the shut-in gamer stereotype to an embarrassing degree. She seemed nice though!) didn't show up for a shift and she never called. Apparently that was the second time for her, so she was let go and three of us (two of us still in training) were left to fill in the schedule for over a week. Between that and my other job, I worked 13 days straight before getting a day off and on at least three occasions I worked at one job and then the next later that day.
So. You could say I've been busy. Too busy to check my bank accounts lately, but I'd really like to think that I've MADE money in the last month+. Which is an exciting idea.
I guess that's about it. My brother's family has had drama. My sister's had a whole llama of drama. I'm still immune. :)
Also, a couple of books I read recently: Love in the Time of Cholera, Michaelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling, and An Anthropologist on Mars. I might write up brief reviews at some point if anyone's interested and/or I feel like boring you with book reviews regardless of interest. :P
