Brian and I spent most of the day outside working on the yard. What a mess. God, it's going to take forever to get it looking presentable. The front yard isn't too bad and I am probably going to do most of the work there because the backyard is depressing. There is no grass back there, just bare patches and weeds. And one corner just reeks of cat poop, even though I can't see any on the ground. There's about 7 stray cats that wander around the neighborhood. Or maybe they have homes because all of them look pretty well taken care of.
Brian got scooters for both girls and they have been wearing themselves out riding them up and down the street. Miranda met a little girl who lives about 5 houses from us. She's two years younger than Miranda but they got on okay--mostly because she didn't object to Miranda bossing her around about everything. There's another little girl Ivy's age a few doors down but she wasn't outside this weekend. I probably should get over my anxiety and just knock on the door to see if she can play, or I am going to be spending most of my time chasing after Ivy as she tries to tag along with Miranda and Bailey. Miranda can be quite possessive of her friends, but I remember what it was like to have a little sister hanging around all the time so try and be sympathetic.
Man, I'm tired. Sat up far too late last night watching a new Japanese drama. It's one I've been waiting for subtitles. Very good so far--there aren't enough suspense dramas, they are all about looovvve. Found a new place to watch dramas and movies for free
