I explained to the girls that we could take the money we would spend at Chuck E. Cheese and there would be enough for a trip to Buildabear. Along with a 10.00 coupon I had been saving, they each got a new toy, and no bright lights and loud noises and pizza and misery over not having enough tickets to get one of the cool prizes. After that we went to the Natural History Museum--on Wednesday nights if the sky is clear, they open the observatory and you can look through a giant telescope. We saw Saturn and some of its moons, and then went out on the deck to see the stars. It was clear, but very cold so we didn't stay long. It's the first time we've been to the museum at night, which was a bit of a thrill. Nothing came alive, although Ivy tried to convince us that some of the animals were moving their eyes.
Today I think we will just sit around the house. I left the vacuum out when I did the bedrooms on Monday as a reminder that I still need to do the stairs and maybe the picture rails downstairs. It's still sitting in the hallway. Vacuuming really is one of the chores that I see no point in doing unless company is coming, or there are obvious crumbs or other things that need to be cleaned up. Although I have had no allergy problems at the new house and I think it's because there is far less dust. So maybe vacuuming today. Oh, the excitement of my life.
