Todays Ramblings

Dec 19, 2007 13:19

Time: Is irrelevant since I write throughout the day
Mood: Cold, sore, worn out, accomplished, overwhelmed, anxious, loved, pressured, and neglectful
Thirst quenching goodness: Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon Spice Tea

Goals for Thursday 12/20/07:
Personal: 20 minutes personal time. At the Cashmere Day Spa! And send out the Christmas cards to my friends
Professional: Get all of the Provider letters completed, sent and meet with the Director of Home Care at Jewish Family for a working lunch
Marriage: Spend 30 minutes alone with Joel
Spiritual: Walking meditation in the morning- connect with the Earth

Grateful List:
 A hard workout with Zac
 Had a healthy breakfast
 The heater in my office
 Hot showers
 A so called “competitor” in my professional life being open for honest dialogue and exchanges of ideas to better serve the people in need
 I get paid tomorrow
 The clean and clutter free home I live in
 Friendly coworkers

Things I have learned:

1. I suck at follow through
2. I live in the future more than the present, and that is bad for my mental health- and it’s unproductive
3. I need to moisturize more
4. Music moves my soul deeply. And if I don’t pay attention, then I could set myself up for emotional roller coasters that are unnecessary.
5. My father in law thinks that I am out of Joel’s league. LOL! Poor Joel! And it’s so not true!
6. It is easier to keep up a home as you go along than to procrastinate and have to put in deep labor to clean up
7. Everyone covets my office here. It is fabulous. I won’t lie. I need to get it decorated up and do a little nesting.

Hello everyone- So I logged in this morning and saw that there have been 301 views of my profile. That seems crazy to me- That means that either each of you have stopped by 23 times or I have a stalker… LMAO! As well, today I see I will break the 600 view mark on my blog. Wow. Um, I guess this is the part where I say, thanks for caring enough to stop by. Or perhaps you come by to see what train wreck awaits you in my life. Either way, it’s nice to know people care.

Small Town Southern Man by Alan Jackson. I like it. Yes I do.

Random Court. Factoid: When they are in season, I eat an orange every day at 10am.

I joined NetFlix and yesterday I got my 1st group of DVD’s in the mail. So while I was working on my room last night I watched part of the movie, “Freedom Writers”. So far it’s pretty good. Hilary Swank has surprised me. Who knew that after The Karate Kid II that she’d pull out a decent adult career…

I had a nice talk with my counter part in Evergreen today. She was here to go through her budget justification meeting. She has been very supportive. And I will spend a day up there next week.

I don’t like conflict. Yeah. It sucks.

Wouldn’t it be scary to have a running tape of all the things you have in your head on a daily basis to re-listen to at a later time? But could be useful as well I suppose…

I forgot that I have a Wheat Ridge 20/20 Holiday Party/Marketing Schmooze tonight. Oops. It starts at 4pm. I am under dressed, but at least I am wearing a long black skirt and a red blouse.

My house is so clean and open and comfortable. The tree is up and we are going to decorate it tonight with Wes and Nancy. I love the way the house smells when I wake up and come downstairs to the scent of the tree. It’s wonderful. Tobie hasn’t been under it yet, but I wonder if it’s because the lights aren’t on it yet. Maybe it’s the draw to the warmth of the bulbs.

I miss my best friend. And I hate that he isn’t his rowdy self lately. I love him and want him to be happy.

I miss my other best friend as well. And I hate that she is in so much pain physically. I hope that her visit to the Dr. today will be productive.

I am blessed to have the best friends in the whole world. Speaking of which… I am in a rush this morning to get to work and I hear my cell phone ringing. I answer it and it’s my friend Mason. Quite unusual to call so early in the morning… So he tells me that at Brad and Melissa’s wedding (5 ½ years ago) that the initials on the napkins were BM. LMAO- And that is all he had to say. Mason is such a nut case. Every year on my birthday and for Christmas he gives me a $2 bill. So I have been stock piling them. LOL-

I could totally take a long nap right now.

I think that I am going to send a couple of things to the house in my email and work from there for a little bit before I go to my meeting… I am not feeling overly social today. And I may even bag it. I am pretty tired. A nap might be good for my lack of spark and a bit of a bad attitude.

I need to get laundry done and also look into the weather in Texas- I have to pack since I will be heading out there Saturday morning. I should find out where mrdreamjeans lives and see if he would be around to some tea and a get to know you chat… Hmm… *Edit: Drats- he’s 4 hours from Mom’s.* Maybe next time I am in town for longer than a few days I will take Neil to dinner!

Well- I am outta here. I can’t take much more. I need to get an attitude adjustment before Wes and Nancy come over…
