Marriott & Passkey

So, the deposits for the Marriott were due out this week through Passkey, but we're showing no sign of it being taken. The credit card details are all correct (I double checked) and we haven't recieved anything from Passkey saying there's been a problem but as this is all on my mother's card, it's not showing on her recent transactions, and she's ( Read more... )

Hello.
It is normal - or as normal as The Marriott has been since using Passkey.
We were never charged last year but friends were. Some people were charged that exact day and some a month later. They seem to follow some pattern and we have decided by the alphabet is as good as any guess.
The confirmation codes are Passkey system but you should have gotten a confirmation recently via email. For some odd, and rather stupid, reason the Marriott did not send out confirmations with confirmation numbersw for their site. You should be able to get some help by emailing The Marriott Customer Care group.

Yeah I have confirmation e-mails from Passkey. I'd be correct in assuming they'd e-mail me if there was an issue with the card then? *phew*

I'll mail the Marriott to get their confirmation number, thanks a lot for that, huge weight off my shoulders.

If they have an issue with the card at the time they tried to charge one night I believe they give you five days to fix it.

I know they give you five days, I was wondering if they told you there was an issue with the card. I'd assume they'd e-mail, but given that getting info from Passkey is sometimes like pulling teeth, I wanted to be sure :)

Don't have any helpful info, unfortunately, but wanted to comment that you're not alone - - I received a couple emails saying I was GOING to be charged last Monday, but they still haven't.
Last year they said the same thing - - they were going to charge a night in advance in July - - and they never did. Last year I actually called Marriott about it and the representatives I spoke to didn't know anything about the "charge one night in advance" thing... guess I should have called Passkey... either way, it's stressful not knowing if I have to keep this $200 in my account >_

I've just had my deposit taken (and as I was already in correspondance with the Marriott, they kindly send me a folio to confirm), so it may go out soon!
