Chickens on politics

Oh, this November election is turning out to be a whole lot of fun, isn't it? Black messiah on the one hand and geriatric white guy on the other. Who to vote for? Actually, I've been leaning towards Obama for a while now (and no, I don't think he can walk on water). I used to be a McCain fan, especially towards the end of Clinton. However, he's ( Read more... )

*nods* I tend to lean pro-life, only because the selfish abortions I've heard about are of women who weren't careful and let it happen. Of course, if the abortion was for reasons of health or rape, or the unborn child is going to be seriously handicapped in some way, then I have no problem of letting them have the choce to end it. But after having a child that I hadn't planned for, I can see why so many would rather abort... cause being laid up for 9 months with diet and work restrictions when one least wants to deal with it is the suck. But I managed.

If they want to stop abortion, support pregnancies! Give love and not shame to unwed mothers!

*nods* I can't agrue with that. i think that's the hardest thing about having to be pregnant, is how handicapped it makes the women feel. If people at work or at school, and the doctors and the family of that mother-to-be gave her more attention and respect, those 9 months wouldn't be so bad.

I also think more education is needed too. Biggest reason that gets so many girls pregnant is that they don't realize how it happens. So many conservative parents are freaking out about all the porn running amuck, that the thought of sex ed is too much for them to imagine. But really, it's scary to realize how much porn is out there, in comparison to knowledge about what really happens when teens have unprotected sex. *tsk*

And yet, this talk about banning birth control methods really disturbs me. That's the one thing that has keep me from being up to my eyeballs in kids! Nyurgh.

Oh, and expect a war about to happen with Hillary.

Mmm... fascinating. I also saw a news headline about an ad McCain has out saying that Palin has about the same amount of experience as Obama. This also breaks my brain.
