My theory is this, and it is pure conjecture: we track C_vid deaths, but not people who have long term or permanent injuries from it. I think a lot of the work force CAN'T go back.
I spoke to a woman for a phone consultation, and she apologized for trouble she was having. "It's C_vid Eyes." She said.
She explained that since contracting C_vid, she's had blurry, double vision for 6 months. It's slowly clearing up. She imagines she will be able to drive again in a few months, just in time for the New Year.
A friend of mine, a Cook, got C_vid at the beginning, before we knew anything about it. He lost his sense of taste, tragic for a cook. He just this week began to work again.
And my Dad. He died of complications of C_vid, but isn't counted as a C_vid death.
I think it's affected for more than we think.
That's my theory.
(Yes, I'm writing C_vid to avoid certain algorithms, because to can never trust them, at least until they become sentient.
