Tried a new recipe for dinner tonight and it turned out pretty well. Well, when I say "tried a new recipe" I mean "mostly tried a new recipe but made several changes to it".

Well I had an idea for something to post, but between the insomnia and the migraine and the fact that my neighbor's contractors have been showing up at the crack of eight to hammer shit every morning ... I totally forgot what it was. So yeah, I got nothing.

You know, it seems like I'm continually asking people what I should post here. The obvious answer is, whatever I want. But what do I want? A record of the random stuff that passes through my brain? Sometimes I wonder, does anyone but me recognize the quotes I use as post titles?

I dunno why, but these days instead of coming up with real titles I just stick a quote there that strikes me as amusing, and they have even less to do with my entries than my tags do. Heaven help me if I ever have to search back through my entries for something.

So I can't think of what to talk about. And you might say, "Why bother posting then?" And my response is look, if I start slacking on my post-every-day plan when I don't think I have anything to say, I'll probably stop posting altogether because I never feel like I have anything interesting to talk about these days. Gonna try to work again tomorrow. I'm not actually well yet, but given that this fatigue-and-coughing phase may last for weeks, I can't really afford to lie in bed all day every day until it goes away. Been voiceless all day today. Thankfully I have a helpful girlfriend who brings me food and soda. Including Mexican Sprite! The pain in my throat didn't allow me to get much sleep last night, so I spent much of the day huddled on the couch staring blearily at the laptop. Hopefully tonight will be a bit better.
