Stupid Cats

So twice yesterday the cats managed to escape the basement. They've managed to damage the screen (always a worry). Basically, we think Jumper punched a hole in the lower panel, and used the hole to hook and drag the screen aside. It's possible he squeezed through the hole, too - cats can get through remarkably small spaces

In order for those 2 Main Coons to serve their purpose as portable, fur-lined, self-heating ottomans, they need to stay mobile...

I suppose you could use the staple gun to attach wire mesh (like screen window material) to the lower panels of the oriental screen (as opposed to getting the staples near the cats).

I was thinking of just fabricing the screen with a demin or canvis by sewing and stapling it into the screen. While I did not mention what I had plan to Noel when I called tonight I did say I had a thought on how to fix the screen and make it more kitty proof.

me too! i hesitantly passed my mouse over the darkend line just to make sure he hadn't got a cute photo of a kitten on a stapler or something. :)

Hmm. *searches* I have purposely tried to use this stapler to drive a staple through a CAT...

maybe you can keep some half and half down where they are are located.

Btw, didn't anyone ever tell you that cats like to be high up places? Batty and arlo both love to be on the roof. :) We let them out through the dormer window. :)

Arlo is now having fits because it's wet, i'm not letting him out in the rain to just torment the hummingbirds by sitting on the dry spot of the deck near their feeders.
