Our friend, who was found unable to get up from the floor on Saturday, has been in the hospital all week. Thanks to the prolonged effects of poorly controlled diabetes, he had to have surgery to remove part of his left (I think) leg. The upgrade for my venerable "rescued" steam engine was pretty easy, but I am not done with it yet. I love that decoders are pretty much modular now. All I had to do was unplug the old decoder and plug the new one in--no additional soldering or rewiring was required. This morning, while I was rinsing the cat's food dishes, AElfgifu decided she needed a shower. Normally our cats flee if a drop of water lands on their fur. Well, except Ignatius. I was mostly a couch potato this weekend. Lethargy ruled my world. I guess that isn't completely true because I did clean the bathrooms and vaccum.
