I spent a little time dusting off and brushing up the notes/article for my rose window class, and reviewing the slides. I did a tiny bit of 'Net research and discovered that Wikipedia parallels a lot of what I published before Wikipedia existed. I didn't delve too far into it because I had a lot of other things to do, though. I may go back to it tonight and see where the cross-references lead me--most of what I saw went back to my sources, so I think I've got it covered.
Green Acres
Just after I got home last night, the neighbors toddled off to church. I had hoped to let them know when I was done with the driveway edging so they could gome get the runners. It took over an hour, but the driveway has been edged and looks a lot nicer. The runners from our grass were much more dense than I had suspected, so the cart is now over-flowing with them. If I had left things alone, I'd be willing to bet that we wouldn't see the concrete within two years. What a vast difference from the last couple of years when I would have begged to see the grass show anything beyond limp, dry, yellow lethargy. This year, if you stand still long enough, it might gobble you up faster than kudzu....
Regardless, the house looks slightly more kempt now.
Next on the list is to replaster the gaps in the porch ceiling. I noticed that my previous attempt has peeled away thanks to all the excess of damp we've had this summer. It might have helped to sand, seal, and paint it immediately.
Mean Girl Fu
AElf' has had an excess of tortitude recently. AElfgifu climbed on the bed at
ealdthryth's feet, and my sweetie was petting AElf'. AElf' decided that she DID NOT WANT. She swatted at
ealdthryth, and tried to bite her (as if, she's got no teeth). More cautious,
ealdthryth simply held her hand out, and AElf' grabbed on with her claws. Meanie!
Laser Fu
All four cats got engaged in the Chase Game last night. The laser dot was too much of a temptation for even Kiera. However, after a few moments of being unable to pin down the dot, Kiera opted to RUN AWAY! Why am I not surprised? I could just die of "Not Surprise".
