for tomdpimp:
1. Your circle of friends has changed alot in the past couple of years, intentional or accidental?
sadly that kinda comes w/ the whole divorce territory, so I'd have to say accidental. truth be told, I've never been happier and more fulfilled in a relationship than dating my best friend, and as I get older I find I enjoy romantic evenings and outings nicer in some ways than hanging out w/ a huge group. conflicting schedules and gas prices don't help either. I've never been a huge party person, except for Halloween and New Years, and the occasional cookout. the party scene was more Kain's thing. I don't drink much, never have, and Rick knows when to stop and when not to get started because he's had issues w/ that in the past. it seems like the only time we see half the old crew anymore is at games or Cons, and the budget has even those scarce these days. we haven't been to Einstein because we haven't had the $5 for parking and gas to get there, never mind food money. we'd probly be up for doing more hanging out if we weren't so worried about finances lately. :( eventually we'll probly be more social once we can afford to go out.
2. Are you happy in Knoxville?
very. truth be told, I love this town. it actually FEELS like home, and overall it's been very kind to me. it's small enough to not be an overcrowded traffic nightmare, but big enough to keep me busy happy and entertained. also, it's spitting distance from the mountains and lots of good hiking and nature outdoorsey stuff, so anytime I need a break for a day or a weekend it's generally easy to get away for a bit and relax and refresh. I'd like a larger house w/ at least 5 acres of land at some point, preferably town towards the mountains more, but for now I've very content. I love this house, and the yard, and the area, just sometimes wish for more space, especially more parking space! :)
3. What is your current vice?
hmm. I'd have to say fabric. and cheese. virtually all dairy products really, but mostly cheese. and ice cream. lately it's been time spent trying to create our own LARP and working obsessively on the rules and culture packets for Dark Passages. if I had to pick JUST one, it's probly fabric. I don't think I could go more than a month tops w/out my sewing machine and a project!
4. How would describe yourself sexually?
in a word, adventurous. :) to expound, I pride myself on being modest. after years of LARPs and theater, I can change everything in a crowded room, including my bra and underwear, and NOT flash anyone! :) I do have a bit of a prudish streak where moral integrity is concerned, especially on the issues of prostitution, porn, and strip clubs (I find them all intensely disgusting), but I've got a wild side that few have seen. let's just say... there's a REASON I knew what the pony shoes were used for when Trent posted the pic on the Portals site. ;) I was even VERY good. I refrained from spilling the beans and making comments until 'Dea asked if you can run in them. ::evil grin:: truth be told, minus the phallus-tail part, 'cause that is EXIT ONLY!, I actually think pony play could be kinda fun if my body would hold up to it. sadly thou, I'm out of shape, WAY too modest to reveal that much skin in an exhibitionistic fashion, and there's no way on God's green PLANET I could walk in those things w/out breaking an ankle or falling flat on my ass at the very least. there's a lot of things that "sound" interesting, but I know my body would not hold up to. however, if I ever get to build my dream castle, there will be a dungeon w/ a traditional rack, St Andrews cross, stockades, padded walls w/ shackles, and suspension rigs. possibly cages too. as "they" say, "sticks and stone may break my bones but whips and chains excite me!" I can flog w/ the best of 'em! hehe... yeah, I know. TMI. but you asked. ;) oh, and I like Hentai. when it's animated, I can stomach it, and appreciate the art value of the animation (except for Heavy Metal, that is possibly the CRAPPIEST animation I've seen in years) and I like the pretty anime boys and girls. I don't want to *see* it, I just want to do it, at least if it's animated it's not real goo. sex is utterly disgusting as an act, and I can't stand nude art or nudity in general either. sure, sex is fun, and nice when you love your partner, but is very messy. I don't want to think about it, or talk dirty about it, or look at it, but gimme some dim lighting or darkness and damned if I don't enjoy it every chance I get!
5. What is your fondest memory of DragonCon?
huh. you know, I'm really not sure. I honestly don't have any one in particular that really comes to mind. really, all the Cons are pretty much a chaotic blur and nothing special really stand out that I'd call "fond" per se. I have lots of memories, but nothing jumps out as really having meant a lot to me for any particular reason. I go to Con to see my friends from other states and to listen to music and peruse the dealer's room and exhibition halls. probly just watching Emerald Rose play and a couple of the drum circles that got going really well.

for Sruna:
1. What prompted the question about my religious beliefs at the party (anything/everything that was relevant to making you ask the question)? It's not a question I often get. It reminded me I need to get back to finding more of my answers on that question. ;)
honestly, I was going to make you guys a pentacle wreath as a combo b-day gift, and I started to email you the religious question to ask about your favorite color(s) and then realized I probly wasn't going to have time to get it finished in time for the party. I had wanted to have something done, but I didn't want to make you, say, a celtic-style pentacle and then find out you followed a strictly Native American path or something. when I do custom pieces, especially where the Craft is concerned, I like to be sure it's a personalized piece honed to the individual and their preferred aspect(s). as it is, I owe y'all a fall pentacle! ;)
2. Aside from LARPing, what do you most enjoy doing with free time?
most enjoy, driving by Zen. you get in the car, and GO. just whereever. but bring the Atlas. Rick and I used to drive by paper-rock-scissors when I was in college. (driver wins = left turn, passenger wins = right turn, tie = straight ahead!) :) sadly gas prices have all but ended that as a regular thing. now it's once in awhile and a special thing when we can do it. LOVE to road trip long distances too when I can. I'm an explorer at heart!
3. And speaking of free time, what do you do for a living?
medical collections. I'm the special needs collector, and get to deal w/ insurance issues, workers comp, accident lawsuits/attorneys, returned checks, etc. nothing glamorous, but it pays the bills all steady-like and I love my coworkers and the company, which to me is most important.
4. Did you meet Rick via LARPing? Or some other way/place?
actually, we met at the after-audition new-cast party of the Orlando FL Rocky Horror Picture Show cast, Dark Refrain, in March of 1996. been best friends ever since, but it took me 11 years to realize what I had in front of me was everything I'd always wanted. :)
5. What do you cherish most in a friend? If that differs from friend to friend, feel free to list multiple things.
honesty, loyalty, humor, creativity, sensitivity, and spirituality.
