Lots to do

Oct 30, 2007 15:55

As soon as this weekend is over.... (like I say every other week)

Saturday:
7:30--- Bring harp to Grace Episcopal church downtown off of Carrol St. somewhere
8:00-9:15--- Rehearsal for Rutter's Requiem (a funeral service - probably- I don't know, that's what a requiem is anyway... maybe they just want pretty music) that we got the music for last week :P
10:00-12:45--- WYSO - regular rehearsals, plus sectionals
2:30--- Bring harp to senior center on the east side and play for ~ 1 hr, b/c old people are wonderful and love music

Sunday:
9:00-11:30 Play Rutter's Requiem for the service, cart harp back home
1:00 go to work till 5

Right now I am juggling 2 songs in Wind Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra -- and though the conductors have sworn that they would confer and try not to overlap schedules, the next 2 rehearsals for both songs are scheduled at exactly the same times. Concert next week in Chamber Orchestra, the piece sounds cool (except for the last movement) but is very difficult to count. Bonus: it uses a harpsichord. Oh yes.

Now the choir director for Women's Choir is playing a song that requires harp, and neither Mandy nor Margaret can do it - and the rehearsal is next Monday during my one gap of time... then two more rehearsals Friday and the next monday, with a concert on the 18th -- then another 2 concerts of the same piece in December (I think for a church or something).

Not to mention the next theory paper being assigned, sight singing test, music history midterm #2, art history (108) test, an animation due next Wed and it's a group (blah) project, and a music history paper sometime soon. Yes, I know that everyone is just as busy, and I shouldn't be complaining about having a crapload of stuff to do, but anyways.

On top of this is the newsflash that -spring semester juries- are actually a test where each music major is judged to see if they can progress to their next year or not. Am stressing about that more than I should be at this point.

harp, schedule, gig, busy
