This house-hunting thing is a load of horse-hockey. First house I found, literally walking distance from our current house... Needed too much work, rejected my low-ball offer.
Second house I found. A bit further away, smaller, but less work needed. Make an offer. A few days AFTER I do that, they switch to cash-only auction. Hey! My realtor is looking into the options for that.
Just found a THIRD house. Even farther away, but still in Luke's current school district. Plus side, its had recent improvements (kitchen remodel in the past 5 years, new A/C 3 years ago, new hot water heater "just installed") and is in an actual neighborhood which is something I've always wanted for my kids. Emailed my realtor tonight and said let's take a look in case #2 is truly lost to my means.

I'm going to keel over from the indecision of it all. I'm actually kinda thankful that I'm not married so that if I go and see the house and like it, BAM, that's all that's needed. No second opinion, no "I liked the kitchen in that other house better"-"But did you see the size of the master bath on this one?" debating. I like it, I buy it, Luke is stuck tagging along. I think he'll pretty much like anything I pick out, he's a 6 year old boy. "Place to put my toys? My own bathroom? Okay!"
For some reason, having his own bathroom became a priority with him in our discussions. I think he's tired of me yelling at him for either not lifting the seat or wiping it off if he misses. I explained that if we have a guest room, odds are "his" bathroom will be theirs as well (I was able to offer Nina's house as an example as ours isn't laid out that way) and he was adamant that in that case, HE will be the one cleaning it, I don't need to help him AT ALL.
WOrks for me.

I've joined the Sleepy Hollow fandom. There's fanfic. I'm reading my way through the AO3 supply now.
