(no subject)
I want to do something for my birthday this year. Last year, I did yard work. The year before, I went to Disney, which was by turns awesome and frustrating. (I have a sneaking suspicion that if I were to get in free again, it would mainly be awesome-- partly because my b'day that year fell on the last Saturday before winter break ended)
When I mention wanting to do something, my mom snorts. "I've cleaned the whole house on my birthday! -- I've done yard work on MY birthday! -- I cleaned the whole pool on my birthday!"
She always seems to forget that she has also claimed the whole the 4th of July weekend for her birthday. The 1st through the 4th are up for celebration. (her b'day is the 2nd) I haven't claimed the whole of New Years! Although... Hmmm.
I just want to DO something. Doesn't even have to be the day of (Monday this year- blech!). I want to go out to eat somewhere that a drive-thru is not even an option. *cough*and I don't want to pay*cough* If my day was not in the dead center of winter, I'd say I'd want to go camping for the weekend. Apparently the camping bug has not abandoned me. But if I'm going camping in January, I'm going camping with someone large and manly and warm to keep in my sleeping bag tent. *wags eyebrows*
Now, if anyone has any of THOSE handy... Message me for the address to send him to. lol
