Wii got a Wii!
Our brand new Wii came in the mail yesterday! All we have is Wii Sports until Luxor 3 comes in the mail (shipped separately, I guess). We played that for a little bit and then went out to see what we could find at Vintage Stock and Gamestop. The prices at both places were ridiculous compared to what I could get off eBay for new games, so I will be shortly scanning the auction house for good deals. So we bought 4 Gamecube games instead since they play on the Wii. And then I spent an hour and a half talking to my brother and not playing video games after all. Ah, well.
I went to the SSA building yesterday to get my name changed on my social security card. I had to leave work an hour and a half early because the SSA is only open 9-4. I left work and realized I didn't have my birth certificate with me. The application I had to fill out wasn't very explanatory on exactly what documents they would want to see, and I was pretty sure that I didn't need it, but I didn't want to get there and then figure out that I needed it. So I ran home, grabbed the document, and ran out the door. I made it to the SSA with a half hour to close, got up at my turn...and realized I didn't have my driver's license on me. Very very luckily since the wedding date was pretty recent the computer didn't require them to get information off of it.
Also, down with standardized computer forms! I wanted to have two middle names: Louise and Sidelinger. There was a box for a second middle name on the form, but it would allow for a name with only 9 characters. Sidelinger has ten. I was a little disappointed but I didn't want a super long hyphenated name so it is what it is. Sidelinger is now but a maiden name. Alas.
