Darn my past CD-buying habits

Last night I put up some Christmas decorations outside. I put multicolored lights around my front window and hung a fake evergreen garland to which I attached some red "velvet" bows and shiny ornaments over the front door. The garland is pretty even, but despite being 5'8", it was a bit of a pain to get up there. I put some nails in around the door frame to tie the garland to. The porch light, however, is just about the center-top of the door frame, making it impossible to hammer a nail in the center of the door frame. Unless of course I didn't mind accidentally smashing the porch light. I opted for a slightly uneven garland. Afterward I was feeling energetic for once, so I decided to sort through my CDs. I've copied a lot of them onto my computer so I can listen to a mix of various CDs. But my CDs have just been sitting in a box, being forgotten. I wanted to sort through them so I could the ones I wanted on my shelves and sell the others. I sold about 20 at lunch today for $19.52. *mutter* That probably was the cost of one of them when I got it originally. :p But the CDs I sold were ones I didn't particularly like and hadn't listen to in forever and some I couldn't even remember why I bought in the first place. Now I have $19.52 and less clutter. Of course, I still probably have 60+ CDs. (I think I used of course too much in this paragraph!)

This evening after work I'm going to go over to the school library and write out most of my Christmas cards. There I can do it without the cats jumping up on me. They're nebby that way. I also need to pick up some articles I printed out yesterday after work. I'm hoping they printed. The printers were down when I went to pick them up from the computer lab. If not, I can go find the web pages again and printed a second time. The articles are for my Myth and Science class and are about creationism vs. evolution. Perhaps this next class will be somewhat more interesting than the rest of the semester. This class could have been so much more interesting, but there was a ton to read, the instructor just mainly read her notes to us. Being the nerd that I am, I'm not normally not the type to want to fall asleep during a class, but this one just put me to sleep. My notes are covered with doodles to keep me awake. We also had to buy 6 or 7 books for this class, plus photocopied another $20-worth of pages from books on reserve in the library. Anyways, just a class and a final exam in that class and it'll be done.

On Monday I have a final exam in my Asian Art so I'm taking the day off, theoretically, to have extra time to study. In the morning, however, I'm going to have my friend Beth cut my hair. She's a student in cosmetology school so I thought it would be nice to support her in that. Plus my hair really needs trimmed, and unless she shaves my head it won't be bad. She's always been good with hair. Then I will go study for a bit until I have to go to the eye doctor briefly. I need to pick up my new glasses, which I'm very excited about, and he wants to check how my eyes are doing with contacts, which I haven't been wearing that often because I'm lazy. But I do wear them, and it'll be nice to know if I can wear them for longer than 8 hours a day.

Tonight, I need to bake some more cookies, specifically thumbprints, and figure out how to probably package them. It's so hard to find cardboard boxes in just the right size. I may have to do some cutting and taping. I want to get all my Christmas cards and packages out tomorrow, but that may not happen. I will make a valiant attempt!

Also, I need a good Christmas icon, but I just haven't been able to find one yet. Any suggestions?
