By the time the school clock strikes ten the students and professors who lingered for the holidays are already beginning to fill the halls all of them making their way towards the front

[He's been looking forward to this trip for the purpose of finding out more about the world he has been kidnapped to. Like many others, he stops by several stores, picking up new bottles of ink, parchments, winter clothes and some useful books. He didn't bother with food as they are provided by the school and he sees no need in wasting his limited funding.

Once he's done shopping, he walks around exploring and asking locals questions. Some answers, others ignore him. But he doesn't give up and continue doing so, hoping to gain as much information as he can.]

[For the love of Veda, not him again...! As much he wanted to ignore Suzaku, he didn't. Suzaku could be a little annoying when he tries prying into his personal matter but he's otherwise an okay person.]

Suzaku. [He looks up from the copy of broom catalogue he's browsing.] Getting your broom for quidditch?

No. I'm actually going to wait a bit on that. I didn't realize some of these brooms would be so expensive.

What about you? [Yes, Suzaku is eying your broom catalog] I thought you weren't going to try out for Quidditch.

Their price seems to correspond with vehicles pricing back home. I suppose it makes sense to be expensive since it's more or less wizard's transport.

Just browsing. [Fine. He'll adjust the catalogue a little to make your viewing easier. He doesn't really want to share with you.] I'm not but it's good to know more about them if I'm to ride one. [He's actually checking out security aspect of those brooms for obvious reasons.]

[Sharing is caring, T-Chan! Suzaku leans closer, but is careful not to crowd Tieria's personal space too much.]

For some of these prices, you may be better off getting a winged horse.

[Suzaku's not on his sharing list. He remains where he is, flipping to the next page once he's sure Suzaku had enough time to look through the current page.]

I'll rather not ride a pegasus. It has feelings and the last thing I need is for it to panic in the face of emergency and put me in unnecessary danger. These brooms has very good security measures installed, a much better investment to consider.

[But they're bros! Suzaku wasn't looking at anything too closely, so he doesn't object.]

I suppose that is something to consider, not to mention a pegasus would be heavier maintenance. But I think I'd prefer something with a bit more size to be my main mode of transport. I don't think you can pack much onto a broom.

[Not bros! While he continues browsing, he's also looking around the shop for the actual model of the brooms he's reading about, all done without alienating Suzaku.]

I remember reading about charmed pockets and storage so space shouldn't be a problem. But there's flying carpets if you are really looking for size.

I don't think those have the same charm as a flying horse, though.

I don't know, you could always get one with a flying horse embroidery. [No, Suzaku, he's not serious but can you tell beneath his normal and rather serious voice?]

It takes Suzaku a few beats, before he finally twigs that Tieria probably was joking.]

You have a weird sense of humor, Tieria.

[He's already used to people not getting his jokes. Sometimes, he's tells them anyway, if only to see their reaction. It might not be the right thing to do, but he does like seeing emotions on people he cares about. It reminds him that they are alive and together.]

I wasn't joking. [Masking his expression under his usual face, he continues browsing brooms.]

[Putting that catalogue down, he turns around to take a better look at other models, allowing a small smirk to escape while he's not facing Suzaku.]

[So much apologies to you, Tieria. Apparently the myriad shops and colourful shades of Hogsmeade must have distracted Liechtenstein. So much so that she doesn't see where she's walking until she very nearly walks right into the other.]

Oh dear, I'm sorry. I did not see where I was going. [There's a sheepish smile on her lips, slightly embarrassed not to have watched where she was going.]
