[Open - Event Log] Hogsmeade Weekend!

Where: Hogsmeade Village

What: Christmas shopping and tomfollery all around.

By the time the school clock strikes ten the students and professors who lingered for the holidays are already beginning to fill the halls all of them making their way towards the front entrance and the courtyard beyond. Due to the weather as of late school uniforms have been traded in for more comfortable clothes and warm winter outer wear.
Professors McGongall, Flitwick, Sprout, and Snape have already gathered to ensure their house hold members gather in an orderly fashion, and at precisely a quarter to eleven the gathered students are lead away from the castle and down to the gate where the carriages are waiting to take them to the magical city of Hogsmeade.
"Four to a carriage!" Professor McGonagall reminds as the students begin to claim their seats among the horseless carriages. At Eleven am sharp each loaded carriage springs to life and begins to make it's way down the long and winding road. From the very last carriage Professor McGonagall makes use of the Sonorus charm to make her voice louder as they travel.
" Hogsmeade Villiage is the only all-wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft after he was driven from his home by Muggle prosecutors in the early 10th century. While the village is home to many witches and wizards, students will most likely find yourselves drawn to High Street. There you will find a number of shops such as Zonko's Joke Shop, Honeyduke's, and The Three Broomsticks. If you are need of school supplies and accessories you may find the items you need at Dervish & Banges, Dogweed & Deathcaps, and Potage's Cauldron Shop. Remember that the carriages will be on hand to leave Hogsmeade after our arrival, but the last carriages will depart promptly at 5:30pm. Do not be late."
It's not long after that the carriages arrive at their destination and stop to allow their passengers to exit into the magical village for the day.
