[ you might find Minako loitering around in the streets. she seems to be so excited about the whole deal that she hasn't even entered any of the shops yet, instead she just standing around and staring at the stores' displays intensely, as if she's glued to the glass. ]

Uwah, pretty..!

[Alayne is in a similar state, somewhat daunted by the situation (though generally managing not to show it). It's been some time since she was free to explore somewhere like this, but even then, Westeros didn't offer quite this range. The conundrum is which shop to enter first.

She stops to look in the windows of Gladrags Wizardwear, alongside an older girl she thinks she recalls seeing in Hufflepuff colours. At her exclamation, she finds herself smiling - with their uniform being the same every day, it's been a while since she had to think about clothes, and although she's gotten used to the knee-length skirts and striped ties, she misses her old dresses.]

They have so many different styles, [she observes aloud, curiously peering in the window.]

[ Minako doesn't even seem fazed by the fact that there's suddenly another girl next to her, similarly peering at the display. Instead she just turns her head to take a quick look at her, a smile quickly appearing on her face at the same time. ]

They do, don't they? [ Now she's already back to gushing at the clothes on display. ] It's much better than just the plain robes we had first. It was a total fashion disaster, mark my words!

[ She lightly taps against the glass, as if she's marking her own words already. ]

A disaster? [Alayne's eyebrows raise, but then her lips quirk into a smile.] The clothes they've given us are quite unflattering - but they are very practical. [She's quick to add that on, not wanting to sound ungrateful - because she is grateful for what they've been given.]

They're - quite different from what I'm used to, [she explains, looking up at robes a deep shade of violet.] These seem far more like what I'm used to.

[ oh, it's not that Minako is ungrateful, really. She's just.. ... Minako.. ]

Even if they're practical, they could be a bit more stylish! It's all a matter of design. That being said, they must have someone terrible at design in that school.. [ She whispers the last part to the other girl, as if it's some conspiracy nobody else can hear about. ]

... Really? You had stuff like this at home? It still all seems way too fantastical for me..

[Akito had been exploring Hogsmeade on his own, with Agito, occasionally stopping to look at interesting things, but mostly they spent their time trying to find a place to buy a warmer winter cloak for a reasonable price.

Having succeeded at that (somewhat), Akito decides that he would like to look at the owls available for purchase, but notices a familiar figure nearby.]

Ah... Aino-san?

... Huh?

[ She recognizes that voice immediately, and her head immediately turns like some kind of owl (although not all the way around, she's not inhuman) to spot the person, a smile breaking out on her face as she finally detaches herself from the window. ]

Ah, good afternoon, good afternoon! Are you out here today too?

[He scuffs a foot in the snow, hands in pockets.]

This is the first time we've been able to leave the castle grounds. I wasn't going to miss it! Plus I need to buy a few things anyway.

Oh, that's right.. [ she nods along with what he says. ] We can't stay confined in that place forever! Youth needs to be free and run around as much as they want!

[ yes, she's probably being overly melodramatic by speaking as some sort of old man even though she's only 16. ]

I know I can't stay in there forever, either way.

Everyone needs to be free, regardless of their age. [Except those who seek to harm others, but that goes without saying.]

I know I'm not going to stay in there forever. I'll find a way home, or I'll die trying to.

See, then we're the same! I can't stick around forever, everyone's waiting on me back home! They'll call me out for being a slacker! [ a happy giggle, even if there's something a little nostalgic about it. ]

I don't mind sticking around here for a bit though. It is a little nice.

I don't know if my friends are waiting for me, per se... But I want to see them again, and want to be able to help them finish things.

[He smiles, small but honest, and scuffs his foot in the snow again.]

It's better than that cold old castle, at least.

Why wouldn't they be waiting for you? [ she flashes a bright grin at him before turning her attention back a little to the display too. ]

After all, they're your friends, right? Friends always wait for each other, no matter what! [ then she does turn her head to him again, just to point - first at him, then at herself. ] Just like us!

[ yes, she decided that all by herself.. ]

It is a critical time for Kogarasumaru right now. There would be no time to waste waiting for someone like me, especially since I'll likely be incapacitated again when I get back.

So it would be tactically disadvantageous for them to wait for me. I'm sure they know that I'll find them again someday, though.

[He is surprised at her proclamation, but is glad as well - he had begun considering her a friend since their first conversation.] Friends don't always have to wait - they just have to always keep faith in each other.

[ she frowns a little at all what he says, because.. well, she's the leader back home, and she definitely puts the well being of the group before tactical advantages. although she wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice herself all the same. ]

That's not right. Even if it would be better for them to not wait.. If they're real friends, they would wait for you. That's what I believe.. from my friends, too.

I don't want to hold anyone back. I want them to keep moving forward, and keep themselves and the others safe.

[He waves a hand absently, using it to add emphasis to what he's saying.]

In Kogarasumaru we will separate and continue on, because we have faith that we will find our way back to each other.
