Conan, of course, had a long history of walking on on Kaito's projects at the worst possible times.

"...Is it really okay to be doing that sort of thing now?"

Kaito froze at the sound of that voice and the joy he'd had from the knowledge he was setting up harmless pranks again was instantly killed. Brat. No matter, just like normal he waves it off and offers a slight laugh as he tightens a screw into place.

"Ah, it's either this or I find a way to sneak to the Hufflepuff girl's dorm." Honestly, that was on his list of things to do anyway- but for now he needed something to entertain himself.

"Oh, can you do me a favor? Turn the faucet on hot, would you?"

"...Do that and you will thoroughly deserve everything that happens." That was Ran's house after all.

Conan eyes him suspiciously, but can't resist his curiosity. It was a common weakness among detectives.

"Oi. I'm not after your precious childhood friend, tantei." His tone is flat and he probably has a vaguely annoyed look on his face. He pushes himself out and sits up, minding his head and flashes Conan a grin. "Mine's cuter than yours."

"Don't worry, it's not gonna explode or anything."

Conan remains unamused. "Then don't make plans including that house. And what does that have to do with anything?"

He eyes the preparations suspiciously. "What were you trying to do?"

"No can do, Tantei. Aoko's in the same house as your lover so it's unavoidable." So is the high chance Kaito will be facing a fish themed bento if he should ever become successful in his endeavor.

At that, he just smirks. "You'll have to turn the water on to find out." Hopefully, he got it right this time.

"Just how do you think they'll react?" It sounded like a terrible idea to him.

...Conan can't resist his curiosity and turns it on.

"Oh, Aoko will probably try to kill me with a mop." He sounds way too cheerful about that. You still don't know anything about Kaito's everyday life, do you Conan?

The minute the tap comes on there is low whistle that starts to build in volume and pitch until it sounds just like a screaming teapot. Kaito looks quite triumphant.

Conan just gives him an unimpressed look. All that effort for something like that?

He rubs his forehead in irritation. "Do you make a point of trying to make all your friends desire to hurt you?"

Kaito can't help the grin that's quickly spreading wider across his face. "Naw, just Aoko. She's funny when she's mad." Funny, cute, dangerous. One or all of those. "Especially how her face slowly gets all red right after I flip her skirt."

Yes Conan, this is Kaitou Kid. The elusive thief that no one can catch acts like a completely immature child.
