So at the end of class today, I believe the Showa student (Showa Boston being the Japanese school at which we take classes) I was talking with asked me for a phone number, or an e-mail address, or something. I'm not sure. I just heard the "kudasai" (verb meaning 'to give,' in this case, 'give me') at the end of the sentence. Then she was too shy to repeat what she had said, even when I asked.
I'm sorry! I think most of the students were going back to Japan for a few months, and having a pen pal (typing pal? e-mail pal? something like that, in this day and age) would have been cool.
