So, I decided that I needed to make an
Unas/
Asgard (spoilers in article) hybrid language with influences from the
German Substrate Hypothesis and
Sanskrit, the latter primarily on the formation of interrogative/relative/correlative triplets. So I am. It's really much more fun than it probably should be. And I'm in love with the pronoun system in development.
Personal pronouns
- ca - 1st person singular "I".
- sna - 2nd person singular "you".
- cni - 3rd person singular "he/she".
- cnin - 3rd person singular "it".
- aca - 1st person plural "we" (speaker and addressee included).
- acie - 1st person plural "we" (speaker but not addressee included).
- snie - 2nd person plural "you".
- cnie - 3rd person plural "they".
Reflexive pronouns
- caru - Myself.
- snau - Yourself.
- cuni - Hiself/herself/itself.
- acu - Ourselves (speaker and addressee included).
- aciu - Ourselves (speaker but not addressee included).
- sneu - Yourselves.
- cneu - Themselves.
Demonstrative pronouns
- shoi - This.
- shae - That.
- etoi - These.
- etae - Those.
