I am a sleepy kitty with too vivid dreams.
Not my life dreams, which are awake dreams, and are always cloudy and far away.
I have attended the Boston Comic Con and met a few superb artists/writers. Don Rosa of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck fame was very nice. He shook my hand and knew how to say/write my name due to his many Scandinavian fans. In the art print of Uncle Scrooge I purchased, Don recolored the lock of hair Scrooge is pining over so that is appears that I am the one he longs for. So amazing. David Petersen who does Mouse Guard signed all my books and gave me an art print for free to hang in the library. So generous! His art/mice are so adorable! Also met a local man named Zach Giallongo who does the comic Broxo. He had donated a copy of his book to the library and I got to thank him in person. He will totally do a program for us one day!
Currently in the middle of Zombie Month a the library in which I do a series of creepy programs all month long because they can vaguely connect to the summer reading theme of "Beneath the Surface". Anyway, I am a genius and people should come to these things. And my morbid little heart shall sing!
Actually, we already did one craft, which was make a notebook featuring your favorite dead author and his/her last words on this earth. A girl of about 12ish did one on Hunter S. Thompson because she liked his quote: "Relax--This won't hurt." Apparently these are the words he wrote just before he shot himself. I did a notebook on Oscar Wilde. His final words included: “This wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. Either it goes or I do.”
I went to New Hampshire for a week. Saw a bear cross the street. It looked like a small fuzzy person. There were mountains and streams and mountain streams. We illegally swam in one (which was amazing). Ate a lot of breakfast foods. The cabin manager office had a cat named Boo Boo who would great me every morning. There were thunderstorms that are scary in the mountains. And mountains, that are just scary and huge. Above the clouds, oh my!
Reading lots of books. Not writing. Still playing Dungeons and Dragons. New character is a Drow (dark elf) bard and I really don't want him to die. He's got to live long enough for me to get to a level where I can have an animal pet-friend. That's all RayJay Galaxy desires! And fame. And not dying.
Trying to be healthier after a vacation of bad foods. It is hard. Good foods aren't really long lasting in the energy department. I don't like eating all the time. I want to digest like a snake. Just eat once a month or so and let it stew.
I need more time for:
writing
poetry
reading
friends
movies
petting my cats (not a dirty metaphor)
That is all.
