Beard With Glue - What Makes Me LOL
A few things decided to amuse me today. First, after finding out yesterday that former H.O.T member Moon Heejun had announced an H.O.T reunion, I got to LOL this morning when fellow former members Tony An and Jang Woohyuk totally called his bluff. I love Heejun, and my 1997-self was screaming in pure joy at the idea of a reunion, but the part of me that feared their comeback mostly fueled by oulan insisting that they as artists have grown too much separately to work properly as a unit again laughed heartily at the complete confusion expressed by our beloved TonHyuk. WooHyuk's reaction was the best part. His reaction quote: "What? What? What is going on?"
Secondly, while watching K-drama Dream High a few days ago, oulan and I were suddenly subjected to literally translated subtitles which included lots of gems such as one character being called "benefits the United States of America" and another being "Johnson" or alternately "Sen" or "Sen Activity." Also, while "Johnson" is singing to his mother, the lyrics read "thick finger assassination assassination - very unpleasant." The one that lingered with us through to today, though, causing me even more LOLs this morning, was when character Jason (that's actually his name, thank god) didn't show up for a performance and the guy in charge suddenly asks angrily "Why is this guy not Jason?!" and now we have to speculate why every guy isn't Jason. Hey, you, reading this, why aren't you Jason?!
Also, while watching Dream High again today, I loaded my hair up with 4 headbands, 3 combs, and 2 hairclips, while my hair was back in a ponytail, and I plan to do it again soon so I can get a pic of it for all you beautiful people. Because it was amazing and amazingly funny and I don't mind publicly embarrassing myself for your amusement. When I do, this post will be edited to include that pic.
Now, the most recent thing to make me LOL:
Sad backstory first - YouTube user BadLipReading had to watch helplessly as his mother went deaf over the course of just a few months. That's depressing. So to try to relate to what she was going through, he began watching TV muted and trying to discern what was being said via lip reading. He recorded himself saying what he thought their lips were saying and uploaded some of the best bits to YouTube. My favorite one of these incredibly hilarious videos by far is "Beard With Glue," or what James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" could have been. Here it goes:
