5 things I am thankful for today:

1. I had a really good interview yesterday with a company nearby in Hampton, VA. It''s about 10 minutes from where Danny works. They help other companies meet FDA regulations and fill out forms and fix their labels. It would be a really great job for me to get so here's hoping! I met with two out of three of the owners and the third is calling for a phone interview sometime before the end of the week. They're supposed to email me salary information soon too. They said they have a few more people to interview and they'll let me know next week if I get the job. I hope so! I have strong writing skills, which is what they need first and foremost, plus I have the science background to understand why we're making changes to labels and so on. HOPING!

2. Danny left me a sweet note today. He left me a few over the past two months but late Saturday after a minor disagreement I left one for him, and now he's left me one every day since. He likes to thank me for everything I do around the condo ie cooking, cleaning, laundry because 1. with no job, I need to feel like I'm really contributing and 2. because he hated doing that himself and never did half as good a job of it as I do.

3. Handsome husband also got me recycling bins set up! I've been complaining since I moved in that the condo doesn't have recycling and we throw out so much that could be recycled. Yesterday on our way to Rita's for ices we stopped in a cute garden and gift center and they had designated bins for recycling stuff. So last night he mentioned that maybe we could get them, then remembered that he actually had a hamper with three separations that we could use for glass/plastic, cans and paper. YAY! Now all I have to do is start recycling again and find out how to get it to the recycling center.....

4. Yogalates today! It;s a great class on base that starts out with yoga to stretch and loosen up, then goes into hard-core pilates to tone. Patricia, the instructor, is very funny and very tough on us. It's a great class.

5. Volunteering to help out at Bingo again tonight. Our synogogue does a bingo night on Tuesday to raise money to support the local schools they've started for the kids, and they make decent money doing it. Parents who send their kids to the school are required to help out. I volunteered to help b/c I'm not doing too much right now and it's an easy way to help out the community. The worst part is the smoking....yea, VA still allows smoking in building and bingo players LOVE their cancer sticks. And their Quizno's concession stand.

thankful, interview, work, fantastic husband!, diary of a military wife, exercise
