This town is starting to bore me. I've been here almost a week, and I'm shocked at how few people I have come to be acquainted with. It's as if they've no hospitality. Of course, Hieji has let me into his home. It must make the infamous Burrow look like a palace, but what can you do? Muggles... Of course I've met a few who say they are magical in some way, but I haven't seen any proof.
I've spent some time exploring the area, and I quite like the beach. If it were less sunny I'd go there more often. I've found an owl in the nearby forested area. I have got to try and tame it, there's no way to send for help otherwise. If only the muggle post could send a letter to the manor.
I've also been fortunate enough to find a spellbook in a muggle antique store. They were foolish enough to believe it was a mere oddity, but I know better. It's written by a Goshawke, that can't be a coincidence. I figure if I learn some new spells this trip won't be such a waste of time, and I need to keep busy.
