Settling in for a night alone
Rat's at his mother's tonight because he has to be in Cardiff incredibly early so that he can go to the Boscombe Down rat show tomorrow. I can't go because I will be getting Carson and Zelenka tomorrow afternoon. I'm apparently going to be able to pick between three of them. Woo!
Unfortunately this means that until I leave the house tomorrow (which will be at 1 at the earliest) I'm all on my lonesome, with a second cold on it's way. Tomorrow I plan to catch up on card making. Today? Desperado is running (probably to be followed by Once Upon a Time in Mexico - decided not to watch El Mariachi as I don't think I could concentrate on the subtitles today), I have a deep-pan cheese pizza with salami added (I haven't started the diet yet!), and later I might have a nice hot bath. I don't normally eat until 8/9 so I suspect I'll be hungry later.. baked apple with minced meat and marzipan sounds like a plan.
I'm trying to find diet forums that focus on the GI Diet. I've got my three cookbooks now - all of which seem quite super - but I'm still stuck on what to do for lunch. I wish some of the soups could be frozen. I don't think Rat will fancy a lot of the salads and salad is, well, just so fiddly to prepare (not that soup isn't, but the end result is so much better). So getting ideas for that would be good.
I think I'll go through the books and plan our first week of foods.
