Grey skies make me smile, fill my heart. Unusual, I know, but I can’t help it. No matter what the shade, I see Draco’s eyes in them.
In soft grey, I see Draco open, relaxed, at ease. I don’t often see him like that, even now, so it’s something I cherish.
Storm clouds are the shade of desire. When he looks at me with charcoal eyes, there is nothing I wouldn’t do for him. Nothing. Those eyes own me.
All the shades in between reflect something of Draco for me. Moments in time that I hold close to my heart.

Grey skies make me think of Harry. He has such a volatile temper, and always wears his emotions on his sleeve. He goes through life in such a haphazard way, I’m surprised he’s made it this far. Not that I’m complaining, of course.
When we argue, he rages like a tempest, but the anger passes just as quickly, to be replaced by a different kind of storm.
Mmm … when Harry’s all hot and bothered, the stormy look he gives me is my undoing. I can never say no to him when he gives me that look. I’m his completely.

“You know, those grey skies remind me of our relationship,” Harry ventured.
“How‘s that?” Draco asked.
“Our feelings were always simmering dangerously close to the surface, ready to explode at any moment. We used to attack quietly sometimes, relishing in the verbal sparring we did, like a slow rain drizzling over us. Other times, we lashed out at each other with the strength of a hurricane.”
“We’re still like that now,” Draco agreed. “We have always been able to get to each other, only now it’s love replacing the hatred of the past.”
“True. But our passion remains a constant.”
