Beautiful. That was the only word that fit, Harry realized as he looked at his son, as they sat at Draco’s bedside.
Hair black as ebony, skin a healthy shade of baby-pink, a tiny cupids-bow mouth and eyes the colour of grey skies on a stormy day.
He was the best of both his parents. The one thing they’d ever done together that had turned out right. If Draco would open his eyes, he’d see what their love had made.
The Healers were sceptic, but Harry wouldn’t give up hope.
James cried out, and Draco opened his eyes.
“Harry?”
“Draco!”
